PURPOSE:To obtain a drupe-like food having nearly the same taste, flavor, appearance and color as those of the natural drupe food, by preparing a spherical jelly having hollow core, and boring at least one through-hole to the skin. CONSTITUTION:The objective food is a spherical jelly A' having hollow core 2 wherein at least one hole or crack 3 extending to the hollow core 2 is bored to the skin part 1'. Since the drupe-like food is a spherical jelly having a hollow core, it has the appearance similar to the stoned natural drupe. When the food is put into a bottle containing syrup, the syrup is impregnated to the jelly part also from its inner surface, and a food having nearly the same taste as natural drupe can be obtained. It can be prepared in an industrial scale, resulting in the cost-down by mass-production and the uniformity of the quality by the uniform shape and size of the food. |
