PURPOSE:To permit a controller which loads a control program from a cassette magnetic tape device to find a system fault in its early stage by diagnosing periodically a loading function which operates only when automatic IPL condition is satisfied after the fault. CONSTITUTION:When the cassette magnetic tape device 3 where the control program of a main control part 1 is field is diagnosed, the switching of a control signal switching part 4 is controlled to lead the data bus and control signal of the tape device 3 to the side of a diagnosing circuit 2 and data on a magnetic tape is read out one after another to confirm the normalcy of the data. When a test indication from the main control part 1 is supplied to the processor 5 in the diagnosing circuit through a line (a) to turn on a control line 8, the switching part 4 breaks the connection of the control signal with the main control side to make the diagnosing circuit side controllable, and the data from the tape device 3 is read out and stored in a data storage part 7 and then collated with test data in a storage part 6 to report the result to the main control part 1 through a line (b). |
