PURPOSE:To enable a line-up transfer device of simple structure to operate at a high speed, by providing such an arrangement that a plurality of guide members are slidably arranged on a movable bed moved by a screw shaft so that they approach with each other and move away from each other in association with the reciprocating movement of the movable bed. CONSTITUTION:When a movable bag 9 is moved in the direction of the arrow H, of movable guide members 42 through 47 which are threadedly engaged with different lead threaded parts of a screw shaft 23, guide members 45 through 47 on the left side are moved to the right but guide members 42 through 44 on the right side are moved to the left, being moved away from a center guide plate 49, so that spaces therebetween are enlarged. In this condition, materials 15a through 15b to be transferred are fed into the spaces between the guide members. Since the spaces between the guide members 42 through 49 are enlarged, article which are not lined up may be received. When the movable bed is moved in the H' direction, the guide members 42 through 47 move toward the center to line up the transferred materials at predetermined pitches, and then to transfer them together with the movable bed. With this arrangement, the transfer device may have a simple structure and the operation thereof may be speed up. |
