PURPOSE:To detect anything unusual in an accelerator sensor, by making up the accelerator sensor so as to judge as trouble when a signal value of the accelerator sensor goes beyond the specified value in time of the accelerator being in a full closing position as well as when the outputted signal exceeds the usual value in time of the accelerator being in a full opening position. CONSTITUTION:Even if an accelerator is in a full closing position, a signal S1 of a potentiometer 1 has a value of V0 and a signal S2 processed at a porcessing circuit 3 is outputted from an output terminal 9 as an accelerator signal. A comparison circuit 4 is composed of an operation amplifier 6 and resistors R1 and R4, and when the potentiometer 1 is normal, a signal S3 is always in a low level but if something wrong happens and therefore the signal S2 comes to below the V3, the signal S3 comes to a high level, turning on a transistor 7 of a display unit 5 and indicating the occurrence of something trouble with a lamp 8. Doing like this, an accelerator sensor is always monitored and thereby all drawbacks can be diagnosed with certainty. |
