The invention relates to an electromechanical drive system having an asynchronous motor in which the speed is regulated continuously by means of electromechanical slip-clutches, the drive system being controlled electronically in the feedback loop using a speed and/or position transmitter (3). The actual drive system (1) is automatically ventilated by means of a ventilating system which is independent of that of the motor. The structural unit of the electromechanical slip-clutches has a single ferro-magnetic clutch disc which is operated both during braking and during engagement.
