<p>PURPOSE:To set automatically an optimum tracking state even for reproducing in the other direction, by adjusting a delay time at the reproducing time in one direction so that the phase relation between both reproducings is optimum and performing tracking. CONSTITUTION:When a control signal 46, which is detected from a magnetic tape while a positive inverred signal is H-level, lags behind the original detection timing as shown by a waveform 46', a variable resistor 22 is adjusted again to set a DC voltage V0' (a broken line on a waveform 47'). Then, an output 48' of a voltage comparator 44 is set to the same timing as an original output 48. At this time, even if the positive inverted signal is set to the L level to reverse the running direction of the magnetic tape, the output 48' is always attained in the same position as the original output 48 as the output of the comparator 44. Thus, the variable resistor 22 is adjusted for one running direction to perform tracking to set automatically an optimum tracking state even for the other running direction.</p> |
