PURPOSE:To simplify checking and repairing of a generator, by locating a cylindrical water wheel generation equipment of super low head and small capacity which is equipped with a dam tailrace and the like upstream of a weir for shielding an open grooved water line and between opening and closing gates provided upstream and downstream of the weir. CONSTITUTION:There are provided a concrete weir 2 partitioning a water line 1 on the way thereof, and a cylindrical water wheel generator unit 3 on an upsteam side of the weir 2 which unit 3 is comprised of a body 5 incorporating a generator connected through a main shaft to a water wheel runner 4, and an outer casing 7 surrounding the body 5 through a stay vane 6 and a guide vane 8. There are provided opening and closing gates 14 and 15 partitioning the water line 1 on an upstream and a downstream side of the unit 3 in the water line 1, respectively. Thus, upon checking and repairing of the unit 3, water in the water line between the gates 14 and 15 is suitably drained by operation of a drain pump 16. The unit 3 is mounted through a support leg 11 to a support base 10. |
