PURPOSE:To obtain a gas seal valve with little operating space in the up-and- down direction by forming a valve plate so that it is freely moved by a valve plate movement drive unit and pressed by a valve plate pressure drive unit. CONSTITUTION:A valve plate 1 has a ring-like rubber 2 on its periphery, and gas sealing is performed by pressing this rubber to a valve seat 3. In addition, the valve plate 1 is supported by a hollow cylinder 5 through a bracket and is formed so as to be freely moved by a valve plate movement drive unit 4. A spherical bearing 6 performs said gas sealing and also transmits the pressure of the valve plate 1 by means of a valve plate pressure drive unit 9 through a drive shaft 7 and a lever 8. When the valve is to be opened, the valve plate is slightly lowered by said valve plate pressure drive unit 9 then shifted horizontally by the valve plate movement drive unit 4. |
