Magnetic recording material

A magnetic recording material is proposed which consists of a carrier with a magnet layer applied thereto, which contains ferromagnetic particles dispersed in a binder, the binder comprising (1) 60 to 90 parts by weight of an oligomer of the acrylate type with two or more (meth)acryloyl groups per molecule and with a molecular weight of not less than 1000 (2) 10 to 40 parts by weight of a monomer of the acrylate type with two or more (meth)acryloyl groups per molecule and with a molecular weight of not more than 600 and (3) 30 to 300 parts by weight of a thermoplastic resin, relative to 100 parts by weight of the mixture of the oligomer and the monomer, and a binder having been cured by means of electron beams. The magnetic recording material has outstanding physical properties.
