PURPOSE:To simply generate electric power by water wheel, by locating a water receiving flume on a bank 3 near a water current control gate of an irrigation canal, and also locating a water wheel generator at a bottom portion of the water receiving flume, thus utilizing water level and water amount obtained by shielding the gate. CONSTITUTION:A water receiving flume 4 is located on a bank 3 near a water current control gate 2 of an irrigation canal 1, and water current shielded by the gate 2 is allowed to flow into the water receiving flume 4. A water wheel generator 5 of a tubular type, for example is located at a bottom portion of the water receiving flume 4, thus carrying out water wheel generation by utilizing water power dropping into the water receiving flume 4. With this arrangement, it is not necessary to specifically equip a dam and a water conduit, and it is possible to carry out water power generation only by installing the simple water receiving flume 4 and a water wheel generator 5 with utilization of equipments such as the bank 3 of the irrigation canal 1 and the water current control gate 2. |
