Combustion chamber insert for heating boilers

The invention relates to a combustion system which can be used as an insert for heating boilers in single-family and multi-family dwellings but also for large heating boilers. It consists of a cylindrical pipe and a cylindrical deflection and guide brick which consist of refractory material with catalytically acting parts which are situated at a distance in front of the flame pipe of an oil burner or in front of the main nozzle of a gas burner. The combustion system can be designed as a two-stage combustion chamber. The individual parts are held and centred by holding blocks and by a holding and centring frame. The refractory material with catalytically acting parts can have given compositions which are listed in exemplary embodiments. It can also, however, consist of a known basic refractory material, the surface of which is activated for the catalytic effect with given substances which are indicated in some exemplary embodiments.
