摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain an alloy having improved hot workability and enabling the easy manufacture of the tip of a magnetic head by adding Ru, Ir or Pt as well as specified amounts of Ti, Zr and Ge as secondary components to a high magnetic Fe-Si-Al material. CONSTITUTION:To an alloy consisting of, by weight, 4-12% Si, 3-8% Al and the balance essentially Fe are added 0.1-2.0% Ti, 0.02-3.0% Zr, 0.05-2.0% Ge and 0.1-3.0% in total of one or more among Ru, Ir and Pt. Ti and Zr prevent grain coarsening and edge cracking during working at high temp. Ge improves the workability at high temp. and prevents chipping during mechanical working at room temp. Ru, Ir and Pt inhibit the formation of an oxide film at high temp. Accordingly, an Fe-Si-Al alloy having high magnetic permeability and undergoing no deterioration in the magnetic characteristics is obtd. The alloy is easily hot worked without causing surface oxidation.
