<p>PURPOSE:To perform stable tracking control with no mixture of noises, by synthesizing a track error signal with four types of pilot signals having the prescribed frequency relation of circulating record to each track and reference signals of different array orders. CONSTITUTION:The pilot signals of frequencies f1-f4 are recorded circularly on each track of a VTR tape 1, and these frequencies are selected so as to obtain frequency difference absolute values M, 3M, M, etc. for the pilot signals of adjacent tracks. A difference frequency signal between the frequencies of the pilot signals of right and left adjacent tracks is detected when the tape 1 is reproduced. This signal is mixed with reference signals which are given from an oscillator and circulate with frequencies f3, f2, f1 and f4 with which odd place tracks are replaced. These mixed signals are processed by a BPF, etc. to produce right and left error signals M and 3M. Then these signals M and 3M are synthesized to obtain a tracking error signal which is free from the effect of noises, etc. Thus stable tracking control is possible to realize a tracking control system which can easily control the manual tracking position.</p> |
