PURPOSE:To prevent a copying machine from being fed with a transcript sheet with any inconformity from specifications by furnishing the transcript sheets transport line with a double feed sensing means, which makes sensing of double sheet feeding on the basis of change in electrostatic capacity. CONSTITUTION:A double feed sensing means 5 is composed of a pair of flat electrodes 5a facing each other, and senses that any transcript sheet 3 is stagnating between these electrodes 5a, through the change in the electrostatic capacity of the electrodes. The values of variable resistances 10 and 13 are so adjusted that the output of comparator 9, will be in L when one transcript sheet 3 is placed between the electrodes 5a and in H when two or more transcript sheets 3 are placed. Only when the output is given in H, a transistor 7 is turned on to actuate a relay 8. Accordingly control of the transport condition can be carried out by furnishing the contact of relay 8 in the main motor's drive circuit. |
