PURPOSE:To stably convey a sheet, by a method wherein the sheet directed to a recording part is trained around platen roll and a tension roll and tension force is imparted to the sheet by the difference between the peripheral speeds of both rolls while the tension roll is rotated by friction force. CONSTITUTION:A recording paper S is wound around the right peripheral surface of a winding roll 10 and the left peripheral surface of a tension roll 11 and, after wound around the right peripheral surface of a platen roll 12, passes the position of a cutter 14 to be discharged out of the apparatus through a pair of discharge rolls 13. The shafts of the tension roll 11 and the platen roll 12 are supported by the side plate 1 in a first unit in a freely revolvable manner. When the platen roll 12 is driven to a positive direction, tension force is acted on the recording sheet S while the tension roll 12 is revolved at a revolving speed equal to or faster than that of a gear 70 and the tension force is controlled by the friction force between a brake member 73 and a brake 72. |
