PURPOSE:To enable to rotate a step motor at a high speed and to reduce the power loss when a rotor is stationarily retained by providing a parallel circuit of a resistor and a transistor. CONSTITUTION:When signals 11, 12 are respectively applied to the bases of transistors 5, 8 at a time t1, the transistors 5, 8 become ON, a current I from a power source 8 flows mainly through a transistor 8, a resistor 7, a coil 1 and a transistor 5, and a rotor of a step motor is rotated at the prescribed angular amount by the energization of the coil 1. When the signal 12 is eliminated at a time t2 after becoming the stationary state, the transistor 8 becomes OFF state, the current I is flowed through a resistor 10 to the coil 1, and the rotor for the step motor is stationarily retained by the energization of the coil 1 by the current. |
