PURPOSE:To enable to operate a brushless synchronous motor with small size and with an armature coil connected to a power source by applying an input from a power source terminal or the following component of the armature coil to an excitation controller and exciting the field coil of an AC exciter with the output of the controller. CONSTITUTION:A synchronous motor 1 is energized through a switch 2 by a power source. The field coil 13 of the motor 1 is excited by a current from the armature coil 41 of an AC exciter 4 which is provided on the same shaft as the motor 1. Further, the field coil 42 of the exciter 4 is excited by the output DC power of the excitation controller 6 which is obtained from the secondary output of a transformer 5 that is contained in a terminal box of the motor 1. |
