PURPOSE:To join end parts together smoothly, without fluffing cut edges, by sticking a tape having an adhesive layer on its both sides in the width direction, on the jointed end parts of two sheet members which are put one over the other, and cutting it. CONSTITUTION:End parts D, D' (to be jointed together) of two sheet members A, A' to be joined to eac other, are put one over other in such a manner that the patterns B, B' of the members A, A' lie on the desired cutting line C. An adhesive tape T in which an adhesive layer 3 having a given width and a non-tacky part 4 having a given width in the width direction are formed on both ends of the back 2 of the main body of a long tape, is sticked on the members in such a manner that the adhesive layer 3 does not lie on the cutting line C of the members A, A' nor on the jointed end D' of the member A' positioned above, but the non-tacky part 4 lies thereon. The jointed ends D, D' and the tape T are cut along the cutting line C, the tape T is peeled off from the member A, A', the cut-off parts of the members A, A' are removed and the cut edges of the members A, A' are joined together. |
