摘要 PURPOSE:To take out a modulation side band wave with a good efficiency by a method wherein a filter is provided at an output mirror part of a laser resonator, and then the transmission wavelength through the filter is varied by corresponding to the variation of the modulation side band wave. CONSTITUTION:A laser resonator is composed of a reflection mirror 1 and the frequency variable filter 2 which serves as a reflection mirror, internal modulation is performed by inserting a laser medium 3 and a modulator 4 into the resonator, and then the side band wave is generated. A specific frequency component is taken out by tuning the frequency variable filter to a specific side band, e.g., oscillation frequency fc+ modulation frequency fm by means of a modulation power source 5 which supplies a power at the modulation frequency to the modulator and a control signal generation circuit 6 which controls the frequency filter. The tuning of the output wavelength is performed by varying the modulation frequency and thus tuning the frequency variable filter thereto, and the movement of the mirror 1 is also available.
