PURPOSE:To prevent the overflow of a developer by a solvent which is supplied in accordance with toner supply, by constituting the device so that toner supply is made impossible when an upper limit position detecting means detects that the quantity of the developer is equal to or larger than a prescribed value. CONSTITUTION:When a normal quantity of the developer is stored in a developing tank 13, an upper limit position detector 1 does not detect the developer, and a lower limit position detector 2 detects the developer, and therefore, detectors indicate level L together, and relays 3 and 4 are connected to contact (a), and an operation control circuit 12 and a solenoid driving circuit 8 are operated, and the toner is supplied in accordance with the output signal of a density detector 7. When the developer in the developing tank 13 reaches the upper limit, the detector k issues an H-level signal, and the relay 3 is switched to a contact (b), and a lamp 5 is lit, and the circuit 8 is made unoperated to stop toner supply. Consequently, the overflow of the developer which is supplied in accordance with toner supply is prevented. |
