<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a weather strip excellent in adhesion of bonded part even after a long-term use, by bonding the ends of specified weather strips together with an adhesive comprising an unvulcanized rubber and a halogen compound. CONSTITUTION:100pts.wt. (in terms of nonvolatiles) unvulcanized rubber (a) (e.g., styrene/butadiene rubber) is mixed with 0.01-10pts.wt. at least one halogen compound (b) selected from a compound having a bond of the formula (wherein X is a halogen), an alkyl hypohalite and a hypohalite (e.g., trichloroisocyanuric acid) and a solvent (c) (e.g., toluene) to obtain an adhesive comprising a mixed solution or a dispersion. The ends of weather strips comprising a polyolefin vulcanized rubber (e.g., ethylene/propylene copolymer rubber) containing a vulcanizing agent (vulcanization accelerator), an ageing resist, an antioxidant, an ozone degradation inhibitor, a filler, a plasticizer, etc., with said adhesive.</p> |
