PURPOSE:A promotor for orthodontic tooth mobility, prepared by forming a chemical layer containing a water-soluble or high polymer soluble or swelling in water as a main constituent and prostaglandin on a flexible support, and capable of exhibiting the effect of the above-mentioned chemical held on a gingiva for a long term. CONSTITUTION:A promotor prepared by incorporating a compositin consisting essentially of a combination of a high polymer soluble or swelling in water, particularly gelatin, and a high polymer having the film-forming ability, e.g. polyvinyl alcohol, with 1-1,000mug, based on one cm<2>, prostaglandin to give a composition containing the above-mentioned chemical of 6.0-9.0pH, and laminating the resultant composition on a flexible support in the form of a sheet to form a chemical layer of 50-2,000mu thickness with <=20% moisture content. The above- mentioned promotor is capable of adhering well to a gingival mucous membrane without the fear for swallowing by dissolution and disintegration with saliva, etc. Therefore, the above-mentioned chemical is effectively absorbed, and the tooth consequently becomes mobile to facilitate the orthodontia thereof. |
