PURPOSE:To damp a chattering vibration produced in a brake pad in time of braking, by installing a slidable damping plate, which is being pressed down to a back plate of the brake pad with constant force at all times and slidable to the back plate. CONSTITUTION:A torque member 11 to be locked to a car body supports slidably a caliper 12 whose hydraulic piston 14 is slidably fitted in a cylinder 13 in a shaft wheel's axial direction, and each of brake pads 19 and 19' is installed in the piston 14 of the caliper 12 and an arm 12b respectively in a way of opposing them to a disc rotor 18. Each of these brake pads 19 and 19' is made up of friction members 20, 20' and brake plates 22, 22' but in this case, damping plates 21 and 21' are slidably installed in these back plates 22 and 22' respectively. That is to say, with headed screws 23 and 23' screwed in these back plates 22 and 22', each of these damping plates 21 and 21' is supported, then Belleville springs 24 and 24' are installed in an interspace between these damping plates 21 and 21' and the head parts of these screws 23 and 23', and these damping plates 21 and 21' are pressed down to these back plates 22 and 22'. |
