<p>PURPOSE:To damp a degree of vibration in a rotor circumferential direction of a brake pad in time of braking, by installing a convex part in the brake pad of a disc brake and also installing a claw part, energizing the pad in a rotor circumferential direction by engaging the convex part, in a pad set spring. CONSTITUTION:A disc brake is provided with a brake pad set spring 24 in space between a torque member 11 locked to a car body and a brake pad 15 supported by this torque member 11 in a slidable manner and thereby damps vibrations produced in the brake pad 15 in time of braking. In this case, a convex part 22a, which has a step differential part 21a to the side of a caliper 12 at an end part adjacent to the torque member 11, is formed on a back plate 17 of the brake pad 15. On the other hand, the said spring 24 is provided with a bead part 26 which is pressed down to each of claw parts 29 and 30 engaging the step differential part 21a of the convex part 22a and the convex part itself, in an extending width part 25 at the central part and moreover the lower end part is provided with engaging pieces 27 and 28 whereby formed almost crosswise.</p> |
