PURPOSE:To enable to keep expanded electromagnetic force by making eddy current loss extremely small in mechanical strength by a method wherein a metallic band is buried in spiral form in a fiber reinforced plastic material which forms a package. CONSTITUTION:The package 1 has epoxy resin impregnated by casting and mold metallic band 4 buried in the fiber reinforced plastic material, after a fiber glass band 1a is wound in lamination and spiral form between the spiral form of the metallic band 4 of a stainless steel, etc., and then filled with fibers. The inner periphery of the package 1 and a superconductive magent 2 are firmly fixed each other by a spacer 5. Since the metallic band 4 is buried in spiral form in the fiber reinforced plastic material, a short circuit ring by one turn is not formed. Therefore, even when a sudden chain-crossed magnetic flux due to the super-conductive magnet 2 generates, circulating eddy current is not caused to the metallic band, and accordingly the electric loss generated in the metallic band 4 is extremely small. The expanded electromagnetic force generated in the superconductive magnet 2 is transmitted to the spacer 5, and then firmly supported in mechanical manner by the closely wound metallic band 4 in spiral form. |
