<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a centrifugal separator for reprocessing of nuclear fuel free from such a fear that a drive shaft is contacted with a stationary part by an earthquake or the like, by forming such a structure that the spherical shape provided to the side of a bearing cylinder is formed into a downwardly recessed shape while a support spherical surface seat is formed into an upwardly protruded shape and an air supply mechanism for supplying air to a slide engagement part is provided. CONSTITUTION:A spherical surface seat 10 is formed into an upwardly protruded shape and the spherical surface center thereof is brought to the center of the thickness of a radiation shielding slab 1 while the gravity position of a drive shaft 9 is positioned at the side lower than the spherical surface center. Air is supplied to a spherical surface seat engaging slide contact part from the nozzle part 33a of an air supply part 33 provided to the spherical surface seat 10 to float the slide contact part. If restoring force is not larger than resistant force, the drive shaft 9 is fixed in an inclined state. When an inclination angle becomes large, restoring moment is acted in proportion thereto to stabilize the drive shaft 9 and it is desired to make the inclination angle capable of expecting restoring force small. By supplying air to the slide contact part to lower coefficient of friction, resistant force is made small to enhance the balancing property of the drive shaft 9.</p> |
