The composition contains as active component 10-100% by weight of a triglyceride of the formula I in which R<1>, R<2> and R<3> are identical or different straight-chain, branched, saturated or unsaturated aliphatic hydrocarbon radicals with 1-20 C atoms, or a mixture of such triglycerides. If the content of the active component is less than 100% by weight, the remainder consists of a dermatologically tolerated vehicle and, where appropriate, other additives. The composition is used for the treatment of areas of living skin with excessive sebum secretion, in particular in cases of acne and seborrhoea.
