A lock arm (7) hinges in a cover (6) having a peripheral edge (6a) containing a recess cooperating with a notch (11a) and protrusion (11b) on a key. This arrangement forms a locking device which only allows the arm to swing into the middle position for the key. In addition, with the arm in the free position the key cannot be inserted in the axial direction as long as it can be removed from the lock. The peripheral edges are non-round and act as controls for the key and lock mechanism with the arm swinging movement. When the arm is swung back to the free position, the key and lock mechanism automatically snap back into the starting position. |
