PURPOSE:To confirm keying easily and to prevent an input error effectively, by providing a monitor and control equipment with a display device to confirm keying and arranging the display device so that its display surface is set up on the same plane as an operating plane at a place near an operating key. CONSTITUTION:Keys 14 and a display device 15 are mounted on the external box 13 of a keyboard and the keys 14, the display device 15, a printed board 16 provided with an internal electronic circuit are accomodated inside the external box 13 to display an operating message 17 on a display device 15. The board 16 is provided with a CPU 19 for the keyboard and an RAM/ROM 21 to store an input from the keys 14 in a prescribed area is connected to the CPU 19 through a CPU bus 20. A liquid crystal driver 24 displaying data stored in the RAM/ ROM 21 in the display device 15 and a serial interface 22 to transfer the stored data in an external display device are also mounted on the board 16. The display device 15 is arranged so that its display surface is set up on the same plane as the operating plane at a place close to the keys 14 to confirm the input through the keys easily. |
