PURPOSE:To obtain simultaneous operation of both a tilt device and a reverse lock device by providing a control member which is held by a stern bracket and can be operated vertically. CONSTITUTION:When a control member 16 is depressed by a grip part 19 during an ordinary cruise, hooking parts 7 and 8 of a stern bracket 1 are closed while a tilt stopper 9 is not hooked, and a propelling unit is lowered to the bottom. A reverse lock click 15 is engaged with a thrust rod 12. But when it is hit by a driftwood or the like, its engagement is released so that the propelling unit springs up. Since at this time the hooking parts 7 and 8 remain closed, the propelling unit is lowered immediately by its self-weight so that propeller revolution in the air can be avoided. When the grip part 19 is hoisted during a cruise over a shoal, the click 15 is also hoisted by means of the control member 16. Thus the reverse lock is released and the hooking step-parts 7 and 8 are opened so that the propelling unit can be lifted by hand. As a result, the tilt stopper 9 is engaged automatically with the hooking step-part 7 or 8 so that a shoal cruising posture or a tilt-up state can be maintained. |
