PURPOSE:To make it possible to always maintain a better discharge condition regardless of deviation and eccentricity in the cylindricalness of drums even in the case of the electrostatic recording of drum type and to prevent accumulation of foreign matters on the recording head by making the recording head so flexible in the construction as to press an electrostatic recording body elastically. CONSTITUTION:An electrostatic recording body 1 is basically composed of a conductive support 2 and an insulation layer 3. A recording head 4 has a plurality of stylus electrodes 6 arranged on an insulation layer 5, which is pressed on the electrostatic recording body 1 with a pressing member 7 facing it. The pressing member 7 has an elastic body 8 made of rubber, sponge or the like and keeps the recording head in contact with the electrostatic recording body regardless of positional variation in the electrostatic recording body. The tip of the pressing member 7 is provided with a hard film 9 to prevent the tip thereof from directly contacting the electrostatic recording body even against slight deviation in the relative position of the recording head 4. |
