PURPOSE:To enable a recording of a hgh quality with a high speed by forming a transfer layer on one surface of a base paper while a conductor layer is formed on the other surface thereof in such a manner that the specific resistance varies to be smaller closer to the base paper. CONSTITUTION:A transfer paper 8 has a conductive layer 8b of a low specific resistance, an electrifying layer 8c of a high specific resistance and a transfer layer 8d on one surface of a transfer base paper 8a. When a pulse-like electric power is applied thereto from a power source 5 through energization electrodes 3 and 4, a transfer dots are made on an image receiving paper 1 and the transfer paper to form characters, pictures and the like. The image receiving paper 1 and the transfer paper 8 and sent in the direction of the arrow 16 being pressed on a compression plate 13, while a pulse-like electric power is applied to a plurality of energization electrodes on an energization head 12. The transfer layer of the transfer paper 8 is formed to include sections for making transfer dots in three colors of cyan 8X, mazenta 8y and yellow 8z separately. A multicolor or color image is formed on the image receiving paper 1. The recording method as mentioned above can reduce the printing energy to about one-fourth of the conventional type. |
