CORE COMPOSING MEMBERS FOR LEAKAGE TRANSFORMER

PURPOSE:To obtain a leakage transformer core with reduced iron loss, small size and improved efficiency by a method wherein a pair of E-shaped ferrite cores are arranged in such a way that the corresponding legs of each core are facing to each other and a hollow ferrite core is positioned near the tips of the center legs. CONSTITUTION:An E-shape ferrite core 1 is composed in such a way that rectangular outside legs 3, 4 are connected to both ends of a backbone culumn 2 and a cylindrical center leg 5 is formed at the center of the culumn 2. The center leg 5 is inserted into a through hole 7 of a hollow ferrite core 6. A pair of the E-shaped ferrite cores are arranged in such a way that the corresponding legs of each core are facing and connected each other just like shaping a square- compressed 8 figure. The hollow ferrite core 6 is inserted near the tips of the center legs 5, 5' and the primary and the secondary windings are wound on the center legs 5, 5' respectively to compose a leakage transformer.
