PURPOSE:To maintain the torque generated at a flat brushless motor constant by equalizing the number of phases of drive coils to that of rotary position detectors, detecting the rotating position of a rotor by the detectors and sequentially exciting the drive coils of the phases for one phase. CONSTITUTION:A stator 10 is composed in a ring shape around a shaft 15 by mounting four first phase drive coils 11a-11d, four second phase drive coils 12a-12d and two rotary position detectors 13a, 13b on a stator yoke 14. The rotating position of the rotor is detected by the detectors 13a, 13b, and the coils 11a-11d, 12a-12d of the respective phases are sequentially excited for one phase on the basis of the detected output. |
