<p>PURPOSE:To improve a plane shape in a control method for changing a roll gap during rolling by changing the roll gap specifically thereby preventing the folding defect in the finish rolling after said rolling. CONSTITUTION:A roll gap is first preset in the position 6 near the thickness 7 in a flat part to be a target in the stage of rolling the material having the thickness 4 with a horizontal rolling mill of a plate rolling installation. The roll gap is quickly widened by the biting of the material to the position of a target crest height 5. Thereafter the roll gap is narrowed at a prescribed speed down to the roll gap at which the intended thickness in the flat part is obtd. and the crest shape in the front end part is formed. The control reverse from the control in the stage of biting is performed in the stage of releasing the material from the biting and the crest shape of the rear end is formed. Then the material having the sectional shape in the rolling direction as shown in the figure is obtd.</p> |
