<p>The field of this technical solution is about remote management. This technical solution discloses a device for carrying out remote software upgrading, wherein the transmission apparatus includes: a version database for recording the information of the software package for upgrading which can be obtained in local network; an upgrading decision-making unit, for deciding whether the device obtains the software package for upgrading locally or not on the base of the information of the request for upgrading from local client-side equipment and the information in the version database, and transmitting the software package for upgrading obtained from a local or remote management server to the local client-side apparatus which needs to carry out upgrading. The solution also discloses a system and a method for carrying out remote software upgrading. According to the technical solution, the data traffic relating to the software upgrade in a local client-side equipment is possibly limited in the local network (for example, a family network), the data traffic of the accessing network is effectively reduced, and the burden of the accessing network is eased.</p> |
