PURPOSE:To obtain the titled substance useful as an intermediate for synthesizing prostaglandin derivative by a small number of processes in high yield, by reacting an easily obtainable 2-allyl-oxycarbonylcyclopentanone as a raw material with a transition metal complex with a low valence. CONSTITUTION:A 2-allyloxycarbonylcyclopentanone shown by the formula I [R<1> and R<2> are H, tri(1-6C) hydrocarbon-silyl group, or group together with O atom of hydroxyl group to form acetal bond; R<3> is 5-8C alkyl, 5- - 6-membered alicyclic group, etc.], its streoisomer, or its mixture is reacted with a transition metal complex with a low valence preferably at 20-40 deg.C to give a compound shown by the formula II. The compound shown by the formula I is obtained by reacting a 4-substituted-2-cyclopentenone shown by the formula III [R<11> is tri(1- 6C)hydrocarbon-silyl or group together with O atom of hydroxyl group to form acetal bond] with a compound shown by the formula IV (R<21> is as shown for R<11>; Y is I atom, etc.), followed by reacting the reaction product with an alkyl chloroformate. |
