PURPOSE:To carry out online service and program patching operation simultaneously, by sending patch information to a terminal over a signal channel which exists besides an information channel for transmitting information. CONSTITUTION:Circuit information L is assembled by online information 1 and patch information 3 and data is transmitted and received between a host computer and a terminal device. The online information 1 is displayed on a CRT11, printed out on a printer 12, and written on a floppy disk FDD13 when necessary. The patch information 3 is stored temporarily in a free area 14C of an RAM14 and transferred from the free area 14C to the FDD13 when the FDD13 is not accessed for the online information 1. Consequently, the patch information on a program is sent without confirming the state of the online service and stopping the online service. |
