<p>PURPOSE:To reduce the load of operation performed by an operater and prevent any trouble caused by errorneous handling by a method wherein a plurality of sheet cassettes different in their width are discriminated and a roller is automatically moved to the most appropriate position of roller corresponding to the predetermined sheet width. CONSTITUTION:When a sheet cassette storing a sheet with its width different from that of the previous sheet is installed, the kind of the sheet cassette is discriminated by micro-switches 10a to 10c acting as discriminating means, a motor 8 is rotated, a slider 6 is moved to cause the roller 2 to be moved to the most appropriate roller position in respect to the predetermined sheet cassette. The moving distance of the roller 2 in this case corresponds to the approximate difference between the sheet widths. Then, the driving shaft 4 is rotated and the sheet is fed out one by one.</p> |
