发明名称 IMPROVED COMBUSTION CONTROL CIRCUIT
摘要 <p>1,255,734. Burner controls. ELECTRONICS CORP. OF AMERICA. 14 Feb., 1969 [18 March, 1968], No. 8094/69. Heading F4T. [Also in Division G1] In burner control apparatus comprising a relay 100 (contacts 100-1 to 100-3) for operating an igniter 34 and a relay 90 (contacts 90-1 to 90-4) controlled by a signal from an ultra-violet sensor 62 of the avalanche discharge type when flame is detected to operate a main fuel control 36, there is a delay between either (a) the time when the apparatus is initially turned on by applying a voltage to terminals 10, 12, Fig. 1, or (b) the time when heat demand is signalled by the closure of thermostat and limit switches 30a, 30b, Fig. 2, and the time at which the relay 100 is energized, so that a fault in the sensor, i.e. when it is in a continuously avalanching condition and indicates flame when no flame is present, causes a lock-out switch heater 102 to be energized to prevent further actuation of the apparatus and to operate an alarm 32. The heater 102 is in series with normally open and shut contacts 100-1 and 90-2 (100-A and 90-B), and with normally shut and open contacts 100-2 and 90-1(100-C and 90-E), so that the lock-out switch is actuated if relay 90 only is energized and also if relay 90 is not energized within a predetermined time after the energization of relay 100, e.g. due to non-effective ignition. In Fig. 1, a voltage at terminals 10, 12 energizes a transformer 16 and causes a heater 52 to close a switch 52-1 after a delay, and subsequent closure of a thermostat switch 30 energizes control relay 100 via a transformer 42, the contact 100-1 maintaining the relay 100 in an energized state until switch 30 is opened. Before switch 52-1 is shut, a signal from sensor 62 will open contact 90-2, isolating relay 100 and shut contact 90-1 to energize heater 102. If the sensor 62 is operating correctly and flame is established, the relay 90 operates contacts 90-3 and 90-4 to turn off the igniter 34 and operate the main fuel control 36. In Fig. 2, closure of switches 30a, 30b operates a blower and the air flow closes a switch 37 to energize transformer 42<SP>1</SP>. A D.C. signal is applied via the lock-out switch heater 102<SP>1</SP> to an R.C. network 122, 124, 126, 128 on the control electrode 120 of a unijunction transistor 112 and a bias is applied to electrode 116. After a delay the voltage on capacitor 128 causes the transistor to conduct, energizing relay 100<SP>1</SP> which is then held on via contact 100-A. A contact 100-B closes to operate an igniter 34<SP>1</SP> and pilot fuel supply 35. Subsequent energization of relay 90<SP>1</SP> closes contact 90-A to reset the R.C. network, i.e. short circuit the capacitor, opens contact 90-C to turn off the igniter, and closes contact 90-D for the main fuel supply. In both embodiments, the sensor 62 is continuously energized, and not only when operation is requested, so that it never attains a " soft " condition.</p>
