The invention relates to an information transmission system comprising a device for regulating the levels of information. This regulating device comprises means 27 of filtering a carrier multiplexed in frequency with the information, means 28 of peak-to-peak detection of the level of the carrier, and means 29 of comparing the detected level of the carrier with a reference level, delivering at output a signal which is received by the automatic gain-control (CAG) input of an amplifier 24, so that the latter regulates the levels of information received by means of the carrier.
