The invention relates to a device for the connection of the one electrical apparatus part (1) to the other apparatus part (2) holding the connecting leads (6). Retaining means (9, 11, 12) are provided in the other apparatus part (2) for the jacket (10) of the insulated individual cores (8) of the connecting leads (6). In the apparatus part (1), there are insulation-piercing terminals (20) which are allocated to the retaining means when the two apparatus parts (1, 2) are joined together and are used to cut through the jacket (10) and to make contact with the individual cores (8). In consequence, it is possible to connect electrically apparatuses which are composed of two apparatus parts, in a simple manner, without screw connections. The invention is preferably used in proximity switches using the so-called plug-in technology. <IMAGE>
