Sheets 9 are separated from a stack by means of a reciprocator which consists of a flexurally rigid lever 12 mounted rotatably at one end 4, and tensioned in between two helical springs 5, and which carries the armature 3 of an electro-magnet 2 and is provided at the other end with a friction pad 8, while the sheet 9 can yield resiliently, perpendicularly of the transport direction, before the reciprocator. A part of the lever or the entire lever can also be made as a leaf spring, in which case the helical springs and rotatable mounting are eliminated. It is stated that the reciprocation behaviour is adjustable and is independent of material properties, wear and ageing. <IMAGE> |
