<p>A tufted carpet product with a primary tuft carrier and nap yarn loops anchored in the carrier, with a second backing laminated to the carrier, the backing consisting of a continuous fibre non-woven fabric of a plurality of layers of randomly laid single filaments and filament groups bonded to one another at least at their mutual crossover points. The filaments in the groups are approximately parallel to one another in certain regions in any one layer, separating out from one another in other regions in the layer. The fibres are selected from the group of polyesters, copolyesters and mixtures. The air permeability of the backing fabric may be controlled by printing an adhesive, a pigment or a mixture of these in a pattern on its surface.</p> |
