<p>PURPOSE:To eliminate clogging by setting the center line of fuel injection from a fuel injection nozzle in alignment with the center line of exhaust gas flow in a filtrating member and thereby heating the whole filtrating member to about uniform temperature. CONSTITUTION:In this exhaust gas purifying device 1, a filtrating member 4 to collect particulates such as carbon particles in the exhaust gas is installed in the rear cylinder 3a of a divided type casing 3, and a burner 6 for prevention of cogging of said filtrating member 4 is installed at the upper stream of the member 4 with a mixing chamber 5 interposed. The burner 6 is equipped with a fuel injection nozzle 8 installed at a supporting cylinder 7, and arranged facing the center of the end face 4a of filtrating member, to which the exhaust gas flows in, so that the center line A of fuel injection is in alignment with the center line B of exhaust gas flow at the filtrating member 4.</p> |
