PURPOSE:To feed a fixed quantity of a transported material by providing a brake magnet on a rotary shaft of a rotor such as a feed roller for transporting the transported material, and controlling the magnet to release the stopping of rotation of the rotary shaft and stop the rotation thereof. CONSTITUTION:In case of controlling the rotation of a feed roller 49 of a tape feeder used in a binder, a driving system for the feed roller 49 adapted to feed thermally adhesive tape MT in cooperation with a pinch roller comprises a rotary shaft 50 rotated by a feed motor 60 comprising a reversible motor, and a brake magnet 57 mounted on the intermediate portion of the shaft. The brake magnet 57 is arranged so that a magnet 573 is excited to attract a disc 571 to be adsorbed to a friction plate 572, thereby to stop the rotary shaft 50. From the time when the stopping of rotation of the rotary shaft 50 is released by the brake magnet 57 to the time when the rotation of the shaft is stopped is the drive time for the feed roller 49 so as to feed a fixed quantity of thermally adhesive tape MT. |
