In controlling a lift 10 with a digital computer 60, specification data 206 on a door time, a number of service floors, etc. are stored in a ROM 20 of the computer, and are transmitted to rewritable storage means 30, the lift being controlled by means of the transmitted specification data in RAM 30 and an operational control program 20a in ROM 20.
