PURPOSE:To execute fault processing peculiar to input/output processing at the time of machine check, by providing a code for at least discriminating the input/ output processing from other processings, as a retry code provided on a part of a microinstruction. CONSTITUTION:One word in a control storage 2 is read out to a control storage data register 3 by a control storage address 1. When a retry field being a part of a microinstruction read out to this register 3 is designated, its contents are set to a retry code register 7 in synchronization with timing 6. When a machine check is generated in the course of executing an input/output instruction or input interruption processing, a service processor 10 reads a retry code of the register 7, sets its head address to the register 1, and calls a fault processing routine. Thereafter, an object fault processing routine is started. |
