A bar of soap 21 comprises a core 22 situated at the bottom of a housing 24 which emerges at the surface of the bar of soap through an opening 23. This embodiment makes it possible for the core 22 to be force-fitted into the housing 24 after the bar of soap has been moulded. Moreover, the face 25 of the core 22 thus remains constantly visible and can opportunely receive any marking or design or contain an object intended to be seen by the user, making it still possible for the assembly produced, insoluble core and bar of soap, to have a density of less than 1. <IMAGE>
