PURPOSE:To relieve shock pressure applied to a bumper, by disposing rubber balls and coil springs in the inside of the bumper in two stages between which a water containing casing is disposed. CONSTITUTION:A square rubber tube 4 in which several rubber balls 3 are disposed and lined is attached to the front end plate 2 of a chassis 1. A plurality of coil springs 7 are disposed between a metal plate 5 applied to the front surface of the square rubber tube and a metal plate 6 positioned sightly ahead thereof. A rubber casing 10 applied on both front and rear surfaces with metal plates 8, 9 and having a lower half containing water is jointed to the front surface of the metal plate 6, and discharge pipes 11 which are opened to the lateral sides are led out from the casing 10 at suitable positions in the latter. A shut-off valve 12 is disposed in the jointed part of each discharge pipe 11, and a plurality of coil springs 14 are arranged between the front metal plate 9 of the casing and the metal plate 13 positioned slightly ahead thereof. A square rubber tube 16 in which several rubber balls 15 are disposed and lined, is attached to the front surface of the metal plate 13. |
